Founder -J Pavicic Securities Inc.-1988
I was born and raised on Minnesota’s Mesabi Iron Range to WWII refugee parents.
I did not learn to speak English until the first grade.
At age 10 I was a Duluth News Tribune paper route entrepreneur, at 12 started a lawn mowing service, and became a serial entrepreneur (ha ha), too young to retire (and not meaningful sums of money involved), at 13 added working for a local Croatian owned service gas station 6am to 8am before starting school and also on weekends.
I attended St. John’s University and graduated with a BA degree in Economics and Business Management.
I worked in Minneapolis as a bookkeeper, cashier, and problem solver in customer service. Advanced to sales, and management, senior management, executive and senior executive.
I had the great good fortune to have known and worked with Minnesota’s Late Great Croatian Rudy Perpich, who to this day is Minnesota’s longest serving Governor and also took a position in the early 1990’s in the transition of Croatia to Independence. It was fantastic it was to have served on “Minnesota Governor’s Business Leaders Forum”, and to have met world leaders.
As a Delegation Host, I had the joy of guiding Croatian Special Olympic Athletes to their venues in their quest for Gold Medals when the summer special Olympics event was held in Minnesota.
I founded a financial and business management consulting firm in 1988 to provide both quantitative and qualitative analysis, advice on acquisition, developing a plan to restructure a sales force, creating a new business strategy, evaluate management decisions, provide guidance and counsel to enterprises seeking solutions, project assistance, and change management to both private and public sectors.
As and Investment Advisory Board Member for a public private partnership, incubator, accelerator, investor; I have extensive experience with startups. The Capital Fund was featured in 9th Federal Reserve Bank publication regarding the use of community reinvestment act credits.
