CHICAGO, March 13, 2017 – The Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) announced that David Diehl will be keynote speaker at the 2nd Annual ACAP Conference to be held May 11-13th, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago.
David Diehl has become one of the top young and rising sports analysts and personalities after an unbelievable football career with the World Champion New York Giants. On the football field, Diehl was one of the most versatile and best value draft picks in Giants history. As a 5th round pick, he went on to win 2 Super Bowls, was selected to both the Pro Bowl and All Pro, and finished his career with 164 games started which is the 12th most in the history of the New York Giants and the most by an offensive lineman in history.
After retiring in 2014 playing all 11 seasons for the Giants, Diehl was hired by The FOX Network as an On Air Color commentator, Broadcaster and Analyst for the national show “NFL on Fox” airing every Sunday on the FOX network nationwide, in which Diehl has become the first player to go straight from the field to the press box since Troy Aikman in 2001.
Diehl is a prominent public figure having (and continuing to) emcee Giants and NFL events throughout the United States, in addition to international events in Germany, Croatia and England. It is not often to see such a seamless transition to a post football career as the one in which we’ve witnessed with David Diehl. This is just the beginning of a long and successful career in broadcasting and entertainment like the one he had wearing an NFL uniform.
“There is no more fitting way to celebrate this year’s conference than by hearing from David Diehl, a Chicago native who has inspired Croatians and many others across the globe,” said Marko Zoretic, ACAP President. “We’re excited to have Diehl share how he transitioned from his success on the football field to success in all his post-football endeavors.”
The 2017 ACAP Conference will provide attendees the chance to have one-on-one conversations with business and community leaders from across the U.S and Croatia. Panel experts from the U.S. and Croatia will discuss a variety of themes including education, entrepreneurship, startups/emerging ventures, journalism/media, athletics and special interest task force topics.
